Pennant stitch

I was recently asked what the stitch pattern is for the pennant stitch, which I used in this square:
The pattern is worked over 7 stitches plus 1.
Row 1: (RS) K1, *P1, K6, rep from*
Row 2: *P5, k2, rep from * to last st, p1
Row 3: K1, *p3, k4, rep from *
Row 4: *p3, k4, rep [...]

I’ve been avoiding working on the cropped cardigan because it’s just not quite right, so I’ve been catching up on the blanket squares.
Stocking Stitch with four hearts
I tried about 5 times to doing the vertical white stripe with the intarsia method and it just looked rubbish. So it’s all swiss darned.

The blanket continues to progress and I’ve some more squares to write about:
Check Texture Square
Rows 1-4 are a K3, P1 rib; Rows 5 and 6 K only.
Mock Double rib square
1st row: K; 2nd row: P1, K2, P2, K2, P2 etc.
Checked rib square
Rows 1-3: 2×1 rib; 4th row: K only.
