Seed stitch square

This is the 7th square for the blanket. It’s basically stocking stitch but you do an occassional purl stitch when you are on a knit row. Quite a subtle effect.

Square 7

How I made it:

CO 27 sts on 4.5mm needles
1st row: Knit
2nd row: Purl
3rd row: K4, *p1, k5, rep from * to last 5 sts, p1, k4
4th row: purl
5th row: Knit
6th row: Purl
7th row: K1, *p1, k5, rep from * to last 2 sts, p1, k1
8th row: Purl to end

Rep these 8 rows to until work measures desired length, ending with a purl row.
