Knitting on sunny days

I’ve had a lovely relaxing day today, most of it spent lying in the sunny garden doing my knitting, whilst watching Dad plant some new plants and listening to the bird singing away. We’ve got an almost tame blackbird which has a beautiful voice.

I’m still working on the baby hoodie, the two front pieces are done and the back will be finished before I go to bed tonight.

Mum also picked up a copy of Knitting magazine today, which came with a free set of 6mm bamboo needles! My first bamboo ones! There are some great patterns for summer tops and the cutest toy elephant. Mum and I might take a trip to the Mall at Bristol next week, so I’ll pop into John Lewis and see what yarn they’ve got there for some of these projects.

Better go and put some after-sun lotion on my now sunburnt arms. (The drawback of sitting in the garden all day!)
